Three modes
Talk uses your mic only. Meeting adds the audio your Mac plays, without recording the screen. Video records your screen, its audio, and your mic.
No meeting bot needed
Recording from your Mac adds nothing to the participant list. For a call you can’t record from your Mac, you can send a visible Eavesy Notetaker instead. Either way, you handle consent according to your organization and local requirements.
Works in person too
No meeting link required. Record a hallway conversation, a workshop, or a 1:1 over coffee the same way you record a Zoom call.

- Does anyone on the call know I’m recording?
- Recording from your Mac does not add a participant to the call. The optional Notetaker joins under the visible name “Eavesy Notetaker” and says in the chat that it is transcribing. Tell participants when required and follow the consent laws in your jurisdiction and your organization’s policy.
- Does it work for in-person meetings?
- Yes. Meeting mode records your Mac’s microphone directly, so no meeting link is needed. It works in the room just as well as on a call.
