Eavesy on the web
Record in the browser, capture from the web app, send drops between devices, and how it all reaches your Mac.
The web app at eavesy.com works on any computer with a modern browser. It needs a free account.
Record in the browser
Open the web app and start a recording. Grant microphone access when your browser asks. If you share a tab, its audio can be recorded too, where your browser supports it.
Audio uploads in segments of about four minutes while you record, so a long recording is safe if your connection drops. After you stop, you get a transcript and a brief, the same as on the Mac.
The browser recorder keeps audio only. It does not save the shared screen as video.
The capture bar
The capture bar in the web app records audio from your microphone, video from your webcam or screen, or a screenshot. You review each one before saving. Everything from the capture bar is uploaded to your account.
Drops
Drops send text or a file, up to 100 MB, from one signed-in browser to your others. Open the drops button in the web app to send one or pick one up.
On your Mac
If the Mac app is signed in to the same account, recordings you make in the
browser are copied into ~/Eavesy/Recordings with their transcript and brief.
The audio stays in the cloud and is not downloaded.
