Capturing

Video

Record your screen, the sound it plays, and your voice for walkthroughs and bug reports.

Video mode records your screen, the audio your Mac plays, and your microphone. Use it to walk through a bug, show a design, or explain a flow to an agent.

Record a video

  1. Open the launcher with ⌘⇧Space and choose Video.
  2. Do what you want to show, and talk through it.
  3. Choose stop when you're done.

Video needs the Screen Recording permission as well as the Microphone permission.

What gets saved

Each video is saved as a folder named like 2026-06-15 Screen recording, holding screen.mp4, audio.m4a, and the usual Markdown files. When you're signed in, the audio is transcribed and gets a brief, the same as a meeting.
