Privacy & your data
Where your data lives, who can touch it, and the controls you have over it.
Eavesy is built local-first and privacy-first. Here’s exactly how your data is handled.
Where it lives
- Mac app: source files are written to a folder on your disk. A private cloud copy supports transcription, search, sync, and recovery after you pair the app.
- Browser: recordings, transcripts, and briefs are stored under your signed-in account so processing can finish and you can return to them later.
Encryption
- In transit: TLS.
- At rest: Cloudflare-managed encryption protects audio in object storage and metadata in the database.
Model-provider policies
Eavesy does not train models on your recordings. Cloudflare states that Workers AI customer content is not used to train models or improve its services without explicit consent. Anthropic states that its commercial API data is not used for model training unless the customer explicitly opts in. If you connect your own OpenRouter account, provider training and retention follow the privacy settings you control in OpenRouter.
Capture only happens while a recording is running, and only with the macOS permissions you grant. Stop a recording and nothing is being captured.
Your controls
- Export a meeting bundle or download an individual capture from its detail page.
- Delete individual captures in the app. Until self-service account deletion ships, contact support for full account removal; local folders remain yours.
