Using Eavesy

Custom templates

Shape how each session's brief is structured with built-in and custom templates, and re-run any session through a new one.

A standup, a sales call, and a user interview each need different notes — and a coding agent, a research assistant, and a support bot each want context shaped differently. Templates control exactly how a session’s brief is structured — the sections, the tone, and the questions it answers.

Using a template

Pick a template before you record, or apply one afterward. Eavesy ships with templates for common session types and lets you create your own.

Creating your own

A custom template is a prompt plus a set of sections. For example, a sales-call template might capture:

  • Prospect & company
  • Pain points raised
  • Objections
  • Next steps & owner

A coding-agent template, by contrast, might emphasize file paths, decisions, and explicit TODOs so the brief drops cleanly into your editor.

Tip

Think of a template as the shape of the context your reader needs — whether that reader is you next week or an AI agent in the next hour.

Re-running a past session

Open any session and choose Re-summarize with a different template. You get a fresh brief in seconds — the transcript stays untouched, so you can try as many templates as you like without losing anything.
